Trees (1)¡
I think the
scenography may at least as important as the Armies it selves; we waste a lot
of effort checking the historical accuracy of any aspect of the uniforms and
armament, and at the same time we don’t use a lot of time researching the aspects
of the landscape in which the battle took part, -normally a region completely
different from ours- when the scenography occupy more area and their elements
are bigger and taller than the Armies¡
Creo
que la escenografía es al menos tan importante como los ejércitos en si mismos;
gastamos mucho esfuerzo en la precisión histórica de los uniformes y armamento,
y al mismo tiempo no usamos mucho tiempo en investigar los aspectos del paisaje
donde la batalla tomó parte-normalmente una región totalmente diferente de la
nuestra- cuando el paisaje ocupa más área y sus elementos son más grandes y
altos que los mismos ejércitos¡
Making trees?
The first
thing I´m going to try ( well after my first attempts in buildings link, which
I´ll continue) is making tres.
Lo primero que voy a
intentar ( bien después de mi primer intento con los edificios, que continuaré)
es hacer árboles
My first try
consisted in making them with woodland scenic products. Sincerely, I don´t know
if I haven´t understand the process very well, but my clump-foliage from
woodland scenic came practically in one piece, so impossible to dip the tree
armature on it and to get a tree¡; you have to cut it manually in little
pieces…and the result is not like in the video;
What is your
experience with this procedure?

primer intento consistió en hacerlos con productos de la marca woodland scenic.
Sinceramente, no sé si yo no he entendido muy bien el proceso, pero el producto
“clump-foliage” de la misma marca me viene prácticamente en una pieza, así que
me es imposible sumergir los troncos en él y conseguir un árbol¡ Así que tengo
que cortarlo manualmente en pequeñas piezas…y el resultado no es para nada el
miso de el video...
Cuál es vuestra
experiencia con este procedimiento?
After, I
thought that the price of ready-made model trees it´s perhaps even cheaper
than buying this kind of products and you have a good result ensured.
Después,
pensé que el precio de los árboles ya
hechos, es incluso menor que comprar esta clase de productos, y además ya
tienes un buen acabado aseguro.
Ready-made model trees
I bought this
reference; Noch 26320 Model Fir trees-25 pcs. 60-150 mm; They have the structure
of a toilet brush but they seem correct. They come with little bases. Many
people prefer to put a group of three o four together in medium size bases.
I´m trying to
display them detached. The problem is that if you can put them in your matt
they are not stable. And when you try to pick them and to store them they get
hooked, and get damaged.
Compré
esta referencia; Noch 26320 Abetos 25 piezas de entre 60-150 mm; Tienen la
estructura de una escobilla, pero son muy correctos. Vienen con pequeñas bases.
Mucha gente prefiere poner grupos de tres o cuatro juntos en bases medianas.
Yo
estoy tratando de desplegarlos en el tapete de juego de uno en uno. El problema
es que si los ponemos directamente en el tapate no quedan estables. Y cuando
los recoges para guardarlos en una caja se enganchan entre ellos y se dañan.
My solution attempt
for both problems, have been to add a five euro cents under the plastic base for
the smaller, and the same type of coin plus a bigger metal washer for the taller.
In this way
they have enough weigh for getting stable in the matt, and if you put a
magnetic lamina in you storage box, they get fixed to it and separated ,and don’t
came into contact, avoiding the damaging…
After fixing
the coins and washers, I added some sand to the base, painted it into light
brown, and added some static Grass…
This is the
result displayed in the matt:
Mi
intento de sulución para ambos problemas, ha sido añadirles una moneda de cinco
céntimos debajo de la base de plástico para los pequeños, y el mismo tipo de
moneda y un metálica más grande para los más altos.
De
esta manera los árboles quedan con suficiente peso para quedar estables en el
tablero, y si ponemos una lámina magnética en la caja de almacenamiento, ellos
quedan unidos a la base y separados unos de otros, no entrando en contacto ni
dañándose.
Después
de pegar las monedas y arandelas, añadí arena a la base, la pinté de marrón
claro, y añadí un poco de césped artificial…
Este
es el resultado en el tablero…
